Meet Christine

christineNAMASTE
I honour the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells.
I honour the place in you, which is of love, of truth, of light and of peace.
When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me,
WE ARE ONE

I am Christine, a Romantic according to the South African poet Stephen Watson’s definition:
“It was and is, rather, one expression of a perennial human tendency to protest against that which would confine and otherwise mutilate what used to be called the human soul”
He tells us that to be a romantic is not only to be someone who expects adventure around every corner, but who is capable of “placing oneself in that long Romantic tradition of protest against a heartless world”

When I see the perfection and the beauty of myself and of all human beings, I realise that there is a need to spread the skills required to live in a world beyond suffering; to become teachers of the art of living from the heart with mindfulness.

In my quest for meaning I came across Reiki in 2002. When I experienced Reiki for the first time I was awed by the sense of peace that followed my Reiki session and went back for regular sessions not believing that it was something available to me. A while later I finally accepted that I too could practice Reiki and embarked on a beautiful adventure opening myself to change and discovery. A soulful journey home; falling in love with life as I remembered whom I truly am.

Reiki brought healing and meaning to my life. The gift of Reiki to me is being able to see the beauty in each and every one of us and feel our interconnectedness.

Reiki is a pragmatic tool that conveys purpose and meaning to the mystery of life. From various readings I gather that once upon a time Reiki was something that was common knowledge and practiced by all and over time got lost, and now is finding it’s way back, perhaps simply because our planet is in need of healing. Or maybe as Ian Mc Callum says: “When we lose touch with our soul, we become homesick”

I teach and practice Reiki. It is so rewarding for me to witness my students feeling empowered after receiving the ability to channel Reiki and to see my clients walking out after a session feeling blissfully relaxed.

I am an independent Reiki Master. I follow the curriculum set out by the International Reiki Organization (www.reiki.org) and adhere to their code of ethics and philosophy.

I am a certified Life Coach with a Master’s degree in Attitude from the University of Life. I have an accounting background; my most challenging and most inspiring job has been raising my now two adult sons. They have been and remain my greatest teachers, teaching me to love.

My purpose is to bring comfort to the suffering and help you remember who you really are. I am here to remind you of the depth of your own innate abilities; to put you in touch with your inner healer, to empower you.

I view life and everything that exists as divine gifts to be treasured and treated with care. I honour Reiki as a pragmatic tool to enhance people’s life. It is an amazingly simple technique that anyone can learn. I feel blessed whenever I have the privilege to pass it on.

I thank God for giving me a sense of humour, a candid outlook and enough challenges to help me evolve, and most of all for the gift of Reiki

christine lineage

I received Reiki level I and II in 2003.I then embarked on a one year Reiki Master program followed by six months teachers training and received my Reiki Master certificate from John-Charles Barlow in April 2005. I started teaching Reiki in May 2005. In 2006 I went to Jerusalem to attend a Reiki Master training with William Lee Rand.

Soul’s Whisper

A Touch Of Madness
I have lost my mind
In sanity at last
I follow my heart
My head finally understands
That laughter and tears are my soul's expression
My eyes shine bright
Sparkling with divine light
All is well

Life
Life is like entering a labyrinth; one feels lost disoriented until we start to follow our heart, until then no routes seem to make sense.
When we find this place of truth and faith, we feel at peace even in the middle of chaos we walk confidently for we know our way home.

Unique
We are all part of the divine perfection
It is how we express this that makes us unique
Of course our foibles will inevitably show up
We call it imperfection and cause suffering
They are gifts offering an opportunity for healing.
It is part of the perfection, just a reminder that we have become disconnected and forgotten
who we are.
Perfection / Imperfection
however we see it
A manifestation of love. Beautiful.

With love Christine
